She started with no idea what LQA even meant. Now, 9 years later, Dasha Tvorilova is Team Lead for Art Project Managers and a mentor to others. Her journey took her through new roles, departments, and even her first-ever flight (for a game conference, of course). Curious how someone with zero background in the gaming industry became a team lead? You’ll want to read this one!
What did you do before Allcorrect and where? How did you come to Allcorrect?
Before working at Allcorrect, I worked at a freight transportation company for a long time. I started as a logistics specialist, then moved into a client relations manager role, and when the company opened its own call center, I transferred to that department. When my journey with that company came to an end, I started thinking about what I wanted to do next. I tried working in sales. That didn’t work out. Then I came across a job for an LQA Project Manager. And not just any LQA; it was LQA for video games. At the time, I had no idea what LQA was or even what the difference between a project manager and an account manager was. But something about it caught my attention. Before the interview, I read up a lot on the subject. During the interview, I did my best to prove that, even without direct experience, I was exactly what they needed.
And that’s how it all started…

What was your first impression of the company/team/job?
My first impression, especially in contrast with other companies, was a sense of family. The words “friendly” and “tight-knit team” weren’t just for show. Even for me—a lifelong introvert—it felt natural to join in on the easy conversations with my colleagues.

What position did you initially apply for? How long did it take to reach your current position?
Starting as a project manager in testing, I’ve walked a long and winding road to the position I hold today. I’ve been with the company for 9 years, and during that time, I’ve grown not only upward but also outward. I’ve moved between departments and often had to start from scratch.
I started as an LQA Project Manager and later became a Senior Project Manager. After that, I moved into the Playable Ads department and later joined the Art department. Now, I work in the Art department as a Team Lead for Art Project Managers.

What qualities do you think helped you become a team lead and manage your work group?
What helped me grow the most? A strong drive for development and a desire to keep moving forward. Every time I found myself in a new environment, it really felt like starting over. I would dive into the new field and learn something completely new, all while building on my previous experience. And eventually, I shared everything I’d learned with others.

What’s your most vivid memory from your time with the company?
Over the years, there have been many memorable moments. But probably the most unforgettable one was my first business trip to a conference. I had never flown on a plane before, let alone attended a conference, so the whole experience left a lasting impression.

Have you participated in development programs? If so, which ones? What results have you achieved, or what skills have you developed?
During this time, I’ve taken part in various development programs (both the Individual Development Program and mentorships), which gave me the chance to reach higher and discover things I hadn’t known before. And that helped me get to where I am today.

If Allcorrect could be described in one word or phrase, what would it be?
If I had to describe Allcorrect in one phrase, it would be “constant development.”
